DR Grimmer (The Irish Examiner, August 7) may consider Palestinians aged 13 to 17 as children, but this is a distinction which Palestinian terrorists make only when compiling statistics on casualties among their own people.

Hamas considers everyone over 15 as legitimate targets while the mufti of Jerusalem, Sheikh Akrameh Sabri, has stated that as “Israeli society is an entirely military society, without civilians” killing Israeli children is permissible.
