Revealed: the slaughter of Iraqi innocents

I MUST congratulate Miriam O’Callaghan and the ’Prime Time’ crew for their brutally honest report last Tuesday night on the war in Iraq.

Scenes of children gunned down by coalition troops, their small bodies torn to shreds by gunfire, revealed the horror being faced by innocent people in Iraq.

The Americans argue that they are fighting this war in the name of freedom their own sense of freedom remains untempered by one vital ingredient, a sense of morality.

And we are partly to blame, facilitating this murderous war by allowing them access to Shannon and not speaking out forcefully against this war of greed instigated by US.

The images of murdered children will haunt us all. In the name of all that is civilised, stop this war now.
