Trucks put to the test

IN reply to Maurice Fitzgerald (Irish Examiner letters, October 8), commercial vehicles have been undergoing rigorous DOE tests for well over 20 years - unlike the NCT, which has been around for the last four years.

The DOE test has to be passed every year, unlike the NCT, which is every two years.
