I READ with interest your recent editorials in the wake of the massacre in Madrid.

Suffering has no nationality

You mentioned the atrocities carried out in New York, Washington, Bali, Tangiers, Istanbul and Madrid. You even mentioned Dublin and Omagh.

But there was no mention of the uncounted innocent dead of Afghanistan and Iraq. Why? Was not each one of these somebody’s mother, father, son, daughter, husband or wife?
