The committal never happened as the case was deferred for weeks on end. Eventually, a settlement was reached and the case was withdrawn.

Three weeks ago, the management of a large and powerful company went to the High Court to have five small farmers and retired workers jailed for contempt of court. Within an hour, the committal had taken place and three weeks later the men are still in jail.
