Minister proves he can move mountains

I WOULD like to commend Environment Minister Dick Roche for his role in the recent purchase of land in Wicklow Mountains National Park at Luggala.

The purchase of the land - the same size as Phoenix Park - means that Wicklow National Park, which was two separate blocks, will now be one.

Furthermore, the price paid for the land represents good value for money for the Irish taxpayer. Many of my constituents who regularly walk in the Wicklow mountains will be similarly pleased.
