TYRANNICAL former Ugandan Prime Minister Milton Obote was given a full state funeral last week - despite being accused of killing 500,000 of his own people.

The Ugandan government, which receives €35 million in aid from the Irish Government every year, sent seven ministers to the airport at Kampala to receive the remains.

Since he was ousted in 1985, Obote had been living in Zambia - another recipient of millions of Irish Government aid.
