Cowardly stance of our henpecked rulers

I AM writing to show my disgust of our Government after reading Mary T Cleary’s letter headlined ‘Domestic abuse: how men lose’ (Irish Examiner, October 12).

Cowardly stance of our henpecked rulers

She describes what can only be called abusive gender discrimination by those we elect to run our country ‘democratically’.

Failing to provide funds for more than half of victims of domestic violence, just because they are men, is surely one of the most cowardly acts committed by the so-called defenders of equality now in power.

Is there not a single political party which would stand up against these feminist, henpecked political guarantors of our freedom.

All independent dual gender research - national and international - shows that men are marginally more likely to be victims of domestic violence than women.

Will our Government accept this proven truth? Of course not.

The various feminist organisations will not allow them and will put our ‘leaders’ on the naughty chair if they disobey.

It is about time our Government showed real commitment to equality instead of talking about it.
