SOME of your correspondents who have challenged the decision to proceed with a toxic waste incinerator at Ringaskiddy are under the illusion that we live in a democracy.

It is plain to see that we live in a dictatorship.

The people of Ringaskiddy have said no to this development - and so have the people of Cork and the county council. Philip Jones, a senior planning inspector with An Bord Pleanála, was adamant when he said no.
