FF chickens are now coming home to roost
Fianna Fáil ministers and backbenchers are flailing in all directions after the recent elections.
However, the mote is always larger in the other’s eye than the beam in your own, so PD ministers are fully responsible for the so-called right-wing policies of the present administration, to wit:
1. Charlie McCreevy: Finance cutbacks of a savage nature to all departments post-2002 election.
2. Micheál Martin: Hanly report, hospital cutbacks and unopened wards and clinics.
3. Martin Cullen: Arrogant disregard for legitimate concerns over e-voting and archaeological heritage.
4. Mary Coughlan: Posturing concern for the less well-off while rubbing widows’ noses in the ground.
5. Seamus Brennan: Doctrinaire capitalist approach to Aer Rianta irrespective of workers’ concerns.
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. And to cap it all, we have the smokescreen of the Great Statesman striding across Europe.
Give us all a break and, in the name of God, go!
