Meanwhile the Government is bringing the health service to its knees while shifting the blame to the tiny proportion of mothers and babies. Clearly the Government hopes that the Irish people will respond to their racist scapegoating by voting for the amendment.

I'd like to say that I have 'higher' hopes, but in fact it boils down to self-interest immigration has been very good for us and equality is the best foundation for a stable, healthy society.
