Gardaí show lots of bottle, French-style

LAST Sunday, on my way down to sunny Croke Park for the football championship double-header, I noticed a number of cases of French water in the rear of a Garda jeep.

I applaud the gardaí for dispensing water to their foot soldiers on such a Cote D’Azur day, but surely a home brand (we have quite a few) would have been a better selection.

We are European, and for the most part we are proud of that fact, but the gardaí are accountable to the Irish people and they should be seen to support Irish products.
