Re-run of Nice: now let's have a re-run of the general election

On June 7, 2001, I exercised my franchise as an Irish citizen and voted in the referendum on the Nice Treaty. Almost immediately my vote was declared null and void by the government.

From day one the government rejected the democratic decision of the people and are now having a re-run of the referendum in the hope of overturning last year's result. This smacks of totalitarianism and is a complete negation of democracy.
