McCreevy is just another politician

THE media frenzy at news of Charlie McCreevy’s move to Brussels was ridiculous.

He is just a politician moving on to a lucrative EU position.

He has not single-handedly captured Osama Bin Laden; he has not explored the centre of a black hole with Prof Hawking. Nor has he cured the amazing memory malfunction that afflicts Irish politicians when they are asked questions at tribunals. Get a grip.
