It doesn’t matter who wins - oil is the issue

NIALL O’CONNELL (Irish Examiner letters, October 2) says John Kerry “will lead the US towards a lasting peace instead of never-ending war.”

The same John Kerry earlier told the US senate it would be “legitimate” for America to invade and occupy Iraq, even though the UN had just forbade any such action.

If you listen carefully to Kerry’s speeches he is saying that Bush has made a mess of Iraq and that he himself would have done it differently. In the end, however, it does not matter who wins the election. The US will continue to drop bombs and fire missiles at civilians to control dwindling oil reserves.
