Mind the gap in public transport facilities

I WISH to highlight the very serious difficulties that people with walking disabilities have getting on to the train at Connolly Station in Dublin because the gap between the platforms and the trains is so large.

It’s even worse for people in wheelchairs, who are expected to somehow climb the yawning gap between the platforms and the trains.

Why doesn’t this sad, farcical joke of a so-called government spend money on investing in our public transport infrastructure instead of pandering to their friends in the car lobby by building more and more roads (concrete jungles) and fewer green spaces and playing fields?
