Spare us SF’s lectures about remorse

THE belligerent and bare-faced equivocation of Danny Morrison and other Sinn Féin spin doctors, since Section 31 became inoperable, has now become part of the political landscape.

Spare us SF’s lectures about remorse

For Morrison to criticise the US and the UK for not apologising to the Japanese and German citizens killed in WWll (Irish Examiner, August 4) while Sinn Féin and the IRA have only “expressed regret” to the “innocent” proportion of the 1,400 Irish Roman Catholics they have murdered is breathtaking.

To cap this, we have the five Sinn Féin TDs being insensitively photographed with the cold-blooded killers of Garda Jerry McCabe in Castlerea Prison; persistent attempts to have those killers released from their massively-reduced manslaughter conviction and sentence when the charge of murder had to be dropped due to a witness withdrawing evidence due to intimidation; and finally, the newly-elected middle-class Sinn Féin MEP, Ms McDonald, carrying the coffin of the IRA murderer Joe Cahill while other Sinn Féin officials walked alongside in militaristic slow step.
