Bush the executioner and Bush the lifesaver

THE letter from Anthony Sheridan headlined ‘Bush may be anti-abortion, but he’s not pro-life’ (Irish Examiner, October 29) illustrates a curious turn of principle.

I see an enormous difference between executing a violent person who chose to commit a heinous act, and an innocent baby who has not even been born.

The methods used in killing an unborn baby are usually far more brutal than those used to execute a criminal.

ANTHONY Sheridan (Irish Examiner letters, October 29) explained to us how the vehemently anti-abortion president Bush was not as worthy as “enlightened” pro-choice Senator Kerry because Mr Bush was responsible for 152 death row prison executions.

I’m puzzled, you see, because as many as 1.9 million pre-infants were aborted each year under pro-choice Clinton.

Is this OK by Mr Sheridan?
