I WISH to clarify a number of points raised by Edward Horgan (Irish Examiner, Oct 16) in his letter headed “Many questions over the state of Irish neutrality.”

Cowen spells out stance on US war flights

In his letter, Mr Horgan omits a number of basic facts.

First of all, after extensive debate, the Dáil passed a resolution last March that expressly supported the government’s decision to maintain the long standing arrangements for the overflight and landing of US military aircraft.
