Ahern wedding is no business of the media

SO Georgina Ahern and Nicky Byrne are not going to get married in Ireland and there is an outcry in the media.

What business of it is theirs or anybody else’s? Ms Ahern and Mr Byrne have the right to get married wherever they like and not have to put up with hearing rubbish such as Ireland not being good enough for them.

David and Victoria Beckham, an acceptable English equivalent of Georgina and Nicky, as well as Paul McCartney and Heather Mills, got married in Ireland and not their native country and there was no such controversy. Accident of birth should not be put forward as a reason for taking a decision.
