SO we now effectively have a Fianna Fáil/Fine Gael/Labour president thanks to the main parties’ obedient county councillors and Oireachtas members (except for a brave few) who took dictation from Bertie, Enda and Pat.

This arrangement is in line with Bertie’s plans to sign away the last of our sovereignty in the federal EU constitution.

This will be followed by a Yes vote referendum, repeated if necessary, when the SSIAs are paid out and the Government and president are returned faithfully in a province once again.
