Ger is the man to sort it out

I THINK is it time that the Cork County GAA Board went outside the county for a new hurling coach.

Such an appointee would be totally free of any ‘baggage.’ I would suggest Ger Loughnane as the ideal man for this position. He wouldn’t take any nonsense and would bring great motivation, master tactical awareness and a high degree of skill to the post.

Is this likely to happen? I think the Lee would freeze over before the powers-that-be would allow it. Cork hurling is in dire straits regardless of the outcome of the present impasse. It has set hurling back years, in my opinion, and a lot of distrust will linger for a long time. It is time for radical change.
