Some immigrants more equal than others

A FEW days ago, I read how the adult education system was being abused to let dozens, if not hundreds, of illegal aliens into our country. This was clearly a bad thing, everybody seemed to agree.

Now I read that some of the chancers in Dáil Éireann are pressing Bertie Ahern to intercede with George W Bush about all the Irish illegal aliens in the US because some of them might even become criminalised.

Interceding is clearly a good thing, everybody seems to agree. Could it be that the politicians don’t want thousands of them sent back to be unemployed because the aforementioned illegal aliens have taken their jobs? Who knows?
