Our war policy?
ON Iraq, at least we know where Tony Blair stands, if not quite why that is. Meanwhile, Bertie Ahern obfuscates, and blusters.
He is out of the country more than in it, hoping that out of sight really is out of mind.
His only comments on the Shannon issue in recent times: a ridiculous and brazen attempt to portray the 100,000 Dublin anti-war marchers as supporters of his Government’s stance and the impenetrable “in the absence of a second resolution, we will set out a position that befits whatever action we must take.”
We had to wait for Bush to let us know where we stood: “crucial allies.” Thanks for that, if nothing else, George.
