A RECENT letter, headlined ‘Coveney campaign at odds with his party’ (Irish Examiner, March 31), seeks to trivialise an honest attempt to control serious problems of the sexual exploitation of women and children.

Simon Coveney is highlighting an extremely serious issue and an ever-growing problem.

Fine Gael members are not at odds with this and are, as a party, seeking ways of ending this exploitation. It is an issue that affects thousands of women and children each year and not one to be used to score cheap political points.
