Our 50 lost jobs equal to 5,000 in greater Dublin
For my native east Cavan region, this is the equivalent of the loss of 5,000 jobs in the greater Dublin area, and is a major blow to the well organised Mullagh community who have invested so much of their own time and energy in securing the future of their village and, indeed, the east Cavan region.
The Tánaiste, Mary Harney, must now establish a high powered taskforce to work with the Mullagh community groups and wider east Cavan interests to fill this employment gap.
