Good neighbours

I WISH to take issue with the former mayor of Galway who said if there were any more robberies there, it could become “another Limerick” (Irish Examiner, April 11).

I have lived in Limerick for 34 years. In all that time neighbours were always there when you needed them.

Despite all the horror headlines in the sensationalist media, this is a wonderful city and its name will be written forever on my heart.
