EXCLUSIVE news about the return of the Colombia Three had hardly broken on RTÉ News when Enda Kenny had his press statement ‘at the ready.’

Contrast this with Mr Kenny’s performance on a topical issue closer to home - the Rossport Five.

For weeks our local press and radio have sought a clear statement from the Fine Gael leader outlining his party’s official position on the jailing of five innocent men, and our Government’s and Shell’s involvement in this scandalous affair - only to be met with “Enda is on holidays” from his press secretary and FG head office.

Maybe Mr Kenny was on holiday in Colombia and he knew the three lads had left long before everybody else did.
