Blind monsters

WE were told lately that drivers of many 30-tonne trucks cannot see pedestrians in spaces around them.

It seems this is somehow the fault of pedestrians, and they should understand that or die, which many have done. Is there anybody in government who might consider a law stating that those who drive a 30-tonne monster on our streets should be able to see where they are going?
