Bigotry has cost us

I AM overcome with rage at the appalling attack on gay human beings by Edwin Cussen (Irish Examiner letters, Sept 1).

Bigotry has cost us

The use of words such as 'sexual deviants,' 'revulsion' and 'turpitude' shows little respect for fellow human beings.

As the mother of three grown children for Mr Cussen's information, all heterosexual may I say all the so-called gay people I know have more kindness and caring than the so-called 'moral' Christians of our society.

Don't be so quick to judge people by their sexual orientation; we have lost too many good people through this form of bigotry. The words acceptance, tolerance and love seem to be missing from your correspondent's otherwise excellent vocabulary.
