Indaver publicity campaign like a red rag to a bull

WHILE enjoying a relaxed Saturday morning's breakfast I almost choked on my rashers on noticing your piece (Irish Examiner, March 6) about the waste management company Indaver's plans to 'counter misinformation' with a new publicity campaign regarding their proposed hazardous and toxic waste incineration facility for Cork.

Having followed the proceedings over the three weeks of the An Bord Pleanála oral hearing last September I was bemused by their latest effort to sell their obsolete technology to an unimpressed public.

Indaver spent hundreds of thousands of euro with a high powered team to convince us all, and in particular An Bord Pleanala's senior inspector, that their proposal makes sense, but they failed miserably in the event.
