AS a lifelong supporter and member of the GAA for many years, and a former hurler and footballer and delegate to Limerick county and city boards, I was disgusted at the slip-shod way the GAA congress voted to open Croke Park to rugby and soccer.

I am also surprised at the hasty decision to facilitate Irish rugby and soccer, as they are very well off financially.

If they have no stadia of their own, that is their own fault, and I fail to see why the GAA should be interested in that regard.
