Easter article was sad, shallow and sneering

I’M a regular newspaper reader and since yours was given out free in the supermarket over a couple of days, I read it also.

Most of the articles were balanced and informative. However, I was saddened by the article on Saturday, April 19, entitled ‘Jesus left at the edges of the Easter spotlight’. I was surprised at the shallowness and sneering tenor of the article. Obviously the writer has no knowledge of her subject. One would imagine that a journalist would require some background in philosophy, history and, yes, religion before penning and article of this nature.

I was not impressed.
