Commercialism is another Hallowe’en trick

I was even more shocked at the materialism and lack of imagination and that seems to be evident in today’s society. Whatever happened to half the fun of Hallowe’en being in the making of one’s own individual costume out of everyday items like bin bags, sheets, cardboard and lots of sticky tape?

It seems that it’s not socially acceptable to today’s generation to improvise and make one’s own costume and to use one’s imagination in the process. No longer is home-made good enough.
