Tribunals an exercise in anger management

FINANCE MINISTER Charlie McCreevy has the effrontery to stand before the Dáil and express alarm at the €100 million odd cost of the various tribunals of inquiry into the corruption of his former associates in government.

If he and his comrades were honourable men they would resign from government and allow an emergency caretaker coalition of the lacklustre opposition at least to try and redeem the nation’s dignity.

Liam Lawlor and his ilk can sit day after day, like mocking court jesters, enjoying the expensive charade that they have summoned up at enormous expense to the taxpayers.
