Recognition for Irish

I WAS deeply disappointed to hear recently that not only is the EU not planning to recognise Irish as one of its official member languages, but also that the Irish government has not raised any objection to that plan.

Recognition for Irish

As a proud citizen of both the United States and Ireland, a homeowner in Ireland, and an Irish speaker, I object to this failure to support the language.

I respectfully request the Government to demand that Irish take its rightful place as an official language of the European Union.
