HOLD the front page. An actual communication from Aer Rianta (Irish Examiner letters, March 30), a mere two weeks after the latest threatened strike and closure at Dublin airport.

Where’s the plan?

But not a word from our airport monopoly on contingency plans to prevent Dublin being closed or threatened with closure for the fourth time in seven years.

Why is the Aer Rianta monopoly not as quick to produce a contingency plan for keeping open the runways at Dublin Airport an essential national service as they are writing letters to the Irish Examiner? When can we expect Aer Rianta to produce a contingency plan to prevent a fourth closure?
