COULD it be that Aer Lingus’ sense of geography and distance is a tad off the planet?

Aer Lingus fares up in the clouds between Boston and Berlin

Could it be that on its compass, Boston is closer to Dublin than Berlin?

I ask because last week I was quoted €445 for a return fare between Dublin and Berlin. In December I fly to Boston. Aer Lingus are charging me €385 for a return fare.
