I refuse to be ashamed of where I live

I AM a sixth-year student attending St Nessan’s Community College, Kileely, on the outskirts of Limerick city.

My home is about seven minutes walk from the school.

I can honestly say that in the past week or so, walking to and from school every day and travelling in and out of the city on numerous occasions, I never once witnessed anything that one would connect with the Limerick that the media has described in recent times.
