EU must act to uphold international law
What could that statement possibly do to convince the Israeli regime to comply with international law on human rights?
The Bush administration’s reaction, predictably, was unwavering support for the Israeli regime.
The UN security council, in its present form, is completely toothless: as long as the permanent members have a veto, nothing will change. One must remember that the permanent members were appointed at the conclusion of World War II and the world was a very different place then.
I think it is time the EU adopted a common foreign policy and imposed economic sanctions on rogue states such as Israel.
