WE in Ballina Chamber of Commerce wish to express our extreme disappointment following the NRA’s announcement of planned road developments last Thursday.

Surely Mayo deserves a lane on each side?

We believe that the programme announced for 2003 will only serve to widen the gap between the western and eastern parts of the country.

Expectations were high in Ballina following the national spatial strategy announcement designating Ballina and Castlebar as growth centres. Now, yet again, the west has been let down.
