Magical opera hits right note in City of Culture

CORK has got its opera back thanks to the Opera 2005 Company which recently staged three magical performances of Figaro’s Wedding. It played to packed, appreciative houses.

Ted Crosbie, chairman, his board of directors and all concerned must be very proud of the results of their efforts.

Your music critic, Declan Townsend, has already written glowingly of Figaro. I’d go along with him in saying that no one person should be singled out - they were all splendid.
