Spike the rest – let’s call it O’Connell’s Rod

NOW that it is finally erected in all its glory, I would like to propose an alternative name for the Spire in Dublin.

Let's call it after the Liberator 'O'Connell's Rod.' The current statue on O'Connell Street does not pay sufficient tribute to the enormity of O'Connell's achievements for his country.
