Lead by example

THE Government is telling us that benchmarking is a luxury that the state cannot afford at present.

They have consistently informed us that their increases under Buckley were awards under Benchmarking.

Can we now take it that the TDs, Senators, and general secretaries of ICTU who benefited by at least 14.5% under Buckley Benchmarking will lead by example and not only refund all monies already paid, but also return to their salaries prior to Buckley?
