WHAT a pity that 80% of those who turned up for the fireworks display on the River Lee on Saturday last were unable to see it.

Adults and children alike were unable to witness this historic display even though they were within a few feet of the river?

Did the organisers not realise that a viewing platform would be required? Let’s hope all forthcoming events in ‘05 are planned with the public in mind.
