LOCAL residents are coming to terms with the unexpected closure of our petrol station on Western Road in Cork.

It had an excellent newsagents and roomy, well-stocked shop.

It was ideally located, near UCC, for motorists travelling west from the city, as well as for tourists and locals who, like myself, will really miss it.
