LOCAL residents are coming to terms with the unexpected closure of our petrol station on Western Road in Cork.

It had an excellent newsagents and roomy, well-stocked shop.

It was ideally located, near UCC, for motorists travelling west from the city, as well as for tourists and locals who, like myself, will really miss it.

This appreciative customer wishes all the staff who worked there the very best for 2006.
