Protesters reject the charitable approach

I REFER to the letter from Paul Kinsella entitled ‘Protesters to keep the heat on Bertie’ (Irish Examiner, Dec 6).

The fact that he is proud of his and his friends’ behaviour in disrupting the Taoiseach while supporting one of our most important charities, St Vincent de Paul, reveals the selfishness of these bin protesters.

With regard to the imprisonment of some of these campaigners, I believe that when a citizen is in contempt of court, he or she should be jailed.
