Parties of privilege

OUR middle-class political system is producing some heavy breadwinners when it’s necessary to grist the mill for a front-row seat in their parties.

It seems clear that party selection can actually depend on a candidate’s ability to pay.

How can it be fair publicly to assist political parties which can raise funds from individuals, business interests, or personal holdings?
