Slurry has made us prisoners in our own home

I AM an ordinary housewife with two young children. We should be enjoying the summer here in our home in west Cork.

Unfortunately, we keep being interrupted by farmers spreading slurry. Suddenly we have to put our children indoors, grab washing off the line, close all windows and doors and become prisoners in our own homes.

Recently I took my children out to play but we had to return home again, change all our clothes and have a shower after slurry almost landed on top of us.
