From Kevin Barry to Stalin. Where next?
That little piece of artifice, cut from the cloth of nationalism, which was once so beguiling, but is beginning to look tawdry and frayed at the edges.
How else to fathom his latest column (Irish Examiner, June 21), a seamless piece covering Kevin Barry, Stalin, the Black and Tans and Iran's desperate need to father a bouncing baby boy a holy nuclear terror, no less to keep up with the Joneses (or the neighbouring Finkelsteins perhaps).
